Teaching Philosophy:

I believe that learning music is not just about mastering an instrument, but about fostering creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking. My teaching approach encourages students to actively engage with the music they are learning by asking questions, exploring different interpretations, and understanding the historical and cultural contexts behind the pieces they play.
Every student is unique, and I strive to tailor my teaching to each individual’s interests, goals, and learning style. Whether a student wants to pursue music professionally or simply enjoy playing as a hobby, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel empowered to express themselves and grow at their own pace.
In lessons, I prioritize building a solid technical foundation while also encouraging students to think critically about the music they are learning. I believe that helping students make informed decisions and understand why they are making certain choices allows them to become more confident and independent musicians. Ultimately, my goal is to instill in each student not only a love for music, but also skills in self-expression and critical thinking that they can carry with them beyond their musical studies.
