Teaching philosophy:
I aim to get my students excited about singing. My students will learn healthy vocal technique, music theory, and music history, and possibly a bit of acting. A well-rounded understanding of music provides singers the knowledge necessary to perform songs from the 15th to the 21st centuries while understanding and enjoying the music they are performing. Additionally, I wish to instill confidence in singers so that they can be proud of the music they share with the world. Singing is a vulnerable art, which is exactly why song is such a powerful conduit for emotion.
