Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is to help students move beyond mechanical execution and into expressive, heartfelt performance. I guide them to see the piano not merely as an instrument, but as a voice for storytelling and personal expression. I emphasize the importance of phrasing, dynamics, and singing through the fingers, encouraging a lyrical and musical approach. By integrating my background in singing and conducting, I foster a deeper understanding of musical nuance, ensemble awareness, and emotional communication.
I strive to inspire students to connect emotionally with their music, understand its cultural and historical context, and express their authentic selves through their playing. Ultimately, my mission is to cultivate not just technically proficient pianists, but passionate, expressive musicians who engage with music with love and sincerity.
